Women’s Ministries

The Women’s Ministry is engaged in works of ministry within the congregation and community.

RPC’s Women’s Ministries includes two Circle Groups that meet between September and May. The Ladies Morning Circle (Circle #1) meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 9:30 in Kirkside Hall and the Evening Circle (Circle #2) meets the last Monday of the every month at 6:30 at “Merry Place”. What does an Old Testament king have to do with living the Christian life today? Join us as we study Daniel M. Doriani’s book David the Anointed and find out.

Men’s Ministries

The spiritual vitality of the church and family is directly related to the spiritual vitality of the men involved. We are seeking to grow together as men who have been saved by God’s grace and want to devote our lives to Jesus and his kingdom. We meet the 2nd Saturday of every month for a hearty breakfast, bible study and encouragement in the faith. Our hope is to reach other men of our community. So join us as we study Transforming Grace by Jerry Bridges.

Children’s Ministries

Through the covenant of grace, our children have been given great promises by God. We want to introduce them to Christ and his promises of salvation. In order to do that we have Sunday school classes for all ages of children where they get a chance to sing together and study a bible lesson. They can also participate in the children’s choir. And central to this ministry is the idea that we want children to know that worship is for them too. That’s why our pastor teaches a children’s sermon as part of the worship service.

Youth Ministries

The youth of RPC meet regularly for bible study, fellowship events and service opportunities. High School students meet each Sunday evening. Middle School students meet on the first Friday of the month.

Prayer Meeting

The early church gathered daily for prayer because they trusted that God builds his kingdom and uses the prayers of the saints to do so. We do not trust in programs to change lives, but rather the work of God’s Spirit through the prayers of his people. So we meet as a congregation on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm for dinner and prayer. This is where the real business of the church starts!

opportunities to serve

We are a working church. Every Christian has been called to use their spiritual and earthly gifts, time and resources to serve the kingdom of God. So consider how you might serve at Reformation and in our community.

Service to the church:
Contact the church office if you would like to…

  • Serve in the nursery on Sunday morning or Wednesday evening
  • Prepare a meal for Wednesday dinner
  • Learn to run the sound board on Sunday morning
  • Help keep the library organized
  • Volunteer for a week of lawn care
  • Assist a Sunday school teacher

Service to the community:
There are many organized opportunities to serve in Christ’s name in our community. Here are a few places our church members are serving.

  • Habitat for Humanity – Henderson County Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God’s love and can live and grow into all that God intends.
  • Hendersonville Rescue Mission – The Hendersonville Rescue Mission is committed to providing shelter to the homeless, food to the hungry, recovery to the addicted, and medical assistance to the homeless and poor of our community with the love and through the power of Christ Jesus.
  • The Storehouse Ministries – The Storehouse is a Christ-centered ministry established for the purpose of providing food and life’s most basic necessities for those in need in Henderson County. In our work here, mercy and grace are our guiding rules. We believe that, “In as much as you have done unto the least of these you have done also unto me” (Matthew 25:40).

You can also donate food to The Storehouse by placing dry goods and canned goods in the basket in Kirkside Hall.

We are a congregation in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church pastored by Matt Lucas.
